George (or Georgina) is a long, lanky, versatile bear standing 60cm (24in). Over the years my workshop ladies have made George in a variety of fabrics including mohair.

The pattern has been increased or reduced according to the character they have wanted to create*. He has been a gift for a 21st - dressed in shorts, sunglassses an the inevitable beer can in his hand; a bow tie,horn rimmed glasses and hat for a 60th; a family group - George, Georgina, Georgy and Gemma. Size 0 to 00 clothing from the larger clothing/department stores fit perfectly; look for their specials at the end of the season. (*As the head is three dimensional and includes a seam allowance, this allowance should be trimmed off the pattern piece before reducing to obtain the correction proportions of the head to the body.)
