Elly is 26cm (10in) high in a sitting position. She is fully jointed and has a two piece head which enables the pattern to be easily reduced or increased without distortion. The "cheeks" and open mouth are added afterwards to give fullness and shape to the head.The elephant as pictured has been made in German rayon but is equally successful in a short sparse mohair (wash before making to give "elephant wrinkles"). Her body has been filled with a combination of plastic pellets and fibrefill.
